Sri Lanka vs Canada Live Stream Highlights ICC World Cup 2011

Sri Lanka vs Canada Live Stream Highlights – ICC World Cup 2011Watch Sri Lanka vs Canada live Streaming HD Video Online World Cup Cricket 2011 Match on PC here. Sri Lanka will play Canada in the third game of the World Cup 2011 on February 20. The two sides will play the game at a new Sri Lankan ground, Hambantota and will look to ensure that they start off well in the tournament.
Sri Lanka will have it easy against a side which was beaten hollow by the Bangladeshi side. Canada have had two really poor warm-up games against Afghanistan and Bangladesh and in the third one against the Dutch side, they barely managed to chase the total of 156.
What Sri Lanka would ideally want is for all their batsmen to bat through the innings and get to a big score and then bowl the Canadians out. Bowling second will also help Sri Lanka get used to the dew conditions which may afflict the ground given that it is a day-night encounter.
Canada will need John Davison to fire and fire hard. Without that, they will be going down in a hurry.Sri Lanka vs Canada Live Cricket Streaming, Score, Highlights, World Cup 2011 links will be placed below.

ICC World Cup 2011 - India thrashed Bangladesh by 87 Runs

Indian Cricket team register the emphatic win over Bangladesh to start their world cup campaign in commanding fashion by beating the home team by 87 runs. With the help of some brilliant individual performance by the Virendra Sehwag (175 runs off 140 balls), Virat Kohli (100* runs off 83 balls) and Munaf Patel four wickets during Bangladesh inning allowed Indian to start the World Cup with superb win here at Mirpur, Dhaka.

Put into bat, India posted a mammoth 370/4 on a wicket where the dew was expected to play its part and where Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan was of the opinion at the time of the toss that 260 would be a par score. India and specifically Sehwag though had completely different plans.

Virendra Sehwag who already indicated the revenge which was playing in his mind earlier through press conference shows no mercy to the Bangladeshi bowlers and hit them all around the park to help India to post a mammoth total.

After a mixed up in the middle with Tendulkar by Sehwag which resulted in run-out, He and Kohli put up a superb 203 runs off just 145 balls which took game away from Bangladeshi team.

The duo put up a scintillating show. While Sehwag brought up his 14th ODI hundred, Kohli reached his fifth and his first on World Cup debut off the penultimate ball of the innings.

Bangladesh started their run-chase in great fashion but a superb bowling performance from Munaf Patel (4/48) put breaks on scoring by picking up regular wickets at regular interval.

Because of dew in the night time, Indian bowlers did struggle a bit but thanks to brilliant inning from Delhi duo, India registered the comprehensive win over Bangladesh in their first world cup games.

Now India will play England in their next game at Bangaloru on 27th February 2011.

Virendra Sehwag was declared Player of the Match for his scintillating century.

Eden Gardens will not host India-England World Cup match

Kolkata's Eden Gardens will not host the India-England World Cup tie slated for February 27 due toits unpreparedness, the International Cricket Council (ICC) said Thursday followingan adverse report from the venue inspection team. The inspection team comprising tournamentdirector Ratnakar Shetty, members of the Central Organising Committe (COC) and theICC reported on the readiness of five outstanding venues after visiting the facilities. The team inspected Eden Gardens Tuesday. 'The expert report, however, determined that Eden Gardens in Kolkata would not be ready within an acceptable time frame to host the India vs England ICC Cricket World Cup match on Feb 27,' the ICC said ina statement Thursday. 'Of particular concern was the fact that host venue obligations in relation to cricket operations, media, broadcast and sponsorship facilities were not finalised and/or confirmed by the venue,' it said. Unfortunately, it was India's only match at Eden Gardens which is supposed to host threeother -- South Africa vs. Ireland (March 15), the Netherlands vs. Ireland (March 18), andZimbabwe vs. Kenya (March 20).
ICC chief executive Haroon Lorgat has informed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) of the decision. As the host, the BCCI will now consider an alternate venue for approval by the ICC. 'All venues had ample time to prepare for World Cup matches. Wehad been understanding and hadprovided extensions tothe deadline dates but unfortunately we are now at a point where we must carefully manage our risks,' Lorgat said. 'The COC had provided venues with a deadlineof Nov 30, 2010, to complete all construction work and then to be match-ready by December 31,2010.' 'An extension was granted by the ICC for five venues, which were again inspected over the past week. Sadly, Eden Gardens inKolkata was unable to meet the final deadlinedate of 25 January, 2011,' Lorgat said. 'Regrettably, Eden Gardens has not made sufficient progress to justify the level of confidence required toconfirm that the venuewould be ready in goodtime. This was no easy decision to take and while it is most unfortunate, it is absolutely necessary,' said Lorgat. The inspection team drew on the knowledgeand experience of some of the leading experts in the field of stadium and ground preparation and the view was that Eden Gardens would not be ready by Feb 27.
