An increasing number of expectant mothers in the city are either advancing or delaying deliveries to keep a date with this date. Couples have been flooding hospitals with requests for delivery on this unique arrangement of day, month and year, unmindful of the fact that obstructing the biological time and hour of the baby's birth could lead to severe health complications.
It's been a trend with would-be parents to have their newborn's birth date reading 9.9.9 or 10.10.10 and now 11.1.11. Doctors have counselled many couples against such a delivery.
